Empire of Trebizond. Andronicus I Gidon, c. AD 1222-1235. AR aspron trachy (2.33g). Nimbate Virgin Orans standing three-quarters right, arms to right, four pellets in fold of maphorion. Reverse: Christ Chacites standing facing on dais, raising hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels.
