Anastasius I, 491-518. Gold Barbaric Solidus (4.47 g) struck with the titles of Anastasius by the Ostrogothic King Theodoric. Helmeted and cuirassed bust three-quarter facing to right of Anastasius I, holding spear and shield. Reverse: Victory standing left, holding long cross; in right field, star. MIB pl. 36, 9. Some minor shaving on edge. Otherwise, quite lustrous and Extremely Fine.
