Domitian, AD 81-96. Gold Aureus (7.46 g) minted at Rome, AD 86. Laureate head right of Domitian. Reverse: Minerva advancing right with spear and shield. RIC 453 [as R3]; Calicó 879 (likely same dies). Some edge marks and smoothing on edge. Choice Very Fine.

Regarding Domitian's precious metal coinage, Minerva advancing is the most common reverse.
