Cn. Pompeius Magnus and Cn. Calpurnius Piso. AR Denarius minted along the Illyrian Coast, 48 BC. Bearded head right of Numa Pompilius wearing diadem inscribed NVMA. Reverse: Prow of ship right. Cr. 446/1; Syd. 1032. Rare. Just a trace of doubling on obverse. Well struck on a full flan with wonderful iridescent toning. Superb Extremely Fine.
