Lot 1455

1884-S. PCGS graded AU-58. CAC Approved PQ. This coin looks Mint State with its abundant silvery luster and glowing "cartwheel" effect as the viewer turns the coin under a lamp. Nobody knows why, but few choice Mint condition examples of the 1884-S survive. Dates prior to this and subsequent can be found in Choice to Gem condition with little effort, but 1884-S stands out as a shining rarity! (PCGS # 7156) .
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,200.

Realized $2,300
