1879-CC. PCGS graded MS-62. CAC Approved. A glistening Choice white coin with the brilliant frostiness one associates with this CC mint date. Likely it traces to the small number of coins released by the U.S. Treasury Department in the 1970s when close to 3 million mainly 1882-84 "CC" mint Morgan Dollars were sold to the public in a series of sales. There were only a few 1879-CC Morgans in the group. They retain their aura of rarity, desirability, and the mystique that comes from having been issued by the Carson City Mint (PCGS # 7086) .
