Lot 1435

1879-CC. PCGS graded MS-64. Lovely gold and blue toning. An always-popular date, this example is certainly solid quality for the assigned grade. Both sides are exceptionally resilient with frosty luster, a characteristic that is most readily evident, and perhaps most significant, in the obverse field around Liberty's portrait. The cheek is free of all but a few light bagmarks, and the devices are sharply impressed in virtually all areas. A rich endowment of mint frost, as said, rounds out this rarity's list of positive features (PCGS # 7086) .
Estimated Value $6,500 - 7,000.

Realized $7,475
