Fr. 280, $5 1899 Silver Certificate "Chief", Choice Uncirculated. With bright, fresh ink and with razor sharp printing. The lower margin is thin, but that is the only small complaint. An extremely popular note for the portrait of Ta-to-ka-in-yan-ka, also known as Running Antelope, a member of the Oncpapa tribe of Sioux Indians. A beautiful example of this type, the only United States note with a Native American as the central feature. Serial number N17335256.
