1897 Barber Half Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65. Hazy, almost milky toning on both sides, with some darker golds at the periphery. Only 731 were struck in proof, and this one is solidly in the gem category. A few minor hairlines are the only signs of handling, and the surfaces are truly splendid underneath the toning.
