1883-S $20 Liberty. NGC graded MS-63. One of the finest graded by NGC, we note a mere 34 graded this high with a single coin graded higher in their Population Report. The fields are especially clean on this piece, and we feel this coin is nearly a grade better were it not for a shallow reeding mark on Liberty's chin which is scarcely noticeable. On the reverse, the surfaces are really amazing and must be seen to be appreciated. Certainly a condition rarity, even in choice grades, as very few were saved, and most are heavily abraded by bag handling.
