1873. Closed 3. PCGS graded Proof 64 CAC Approved. Light even toning. Only 1,100+ Proofs struck. A lustrous example of this elusive date, displaying light patina and close to the gem class; excellent nickel color. The strike is strong as you would expect on a Proof, with clear definition to the high points of the shield, leaves, stars on the reverse, and all legends (PCGS # 3827) .
