L. Aemilius Lepidus Paullus, moneyer. AR Denarius minted at Rome, 62 BC. Veiled and diademed head right of Concordia. Reverse: Trophy; to left, King Perseus of Macedon and his two sons standing right, hands bound; to right, togate Aemilius Paullus standing left. Sear 366; Aemilia 10; Cr. 415/1; Syd. 926. Tiny test cut at edge. Beautiful iridescent toning. Choice Very Fine.

L. Aemilius Paullus defeated the Macedonians in 168 BC; he sent King Perseus and his sons to Rome to walk in his triumph.
