L. Manlius Torquatus, moneyer. AR Denarius minted at Rome, 65 BC. Head right of Sybil, wreathed with ivy. Reverse: Tripod surmounted by amphora between two stars; around, torque. Sear 362; Manlia 12a; Cr. 411/1b; Syd. 836. Nearly Extremely Fine and rare.

It was probably the moneyer who accused Publius Sulla in 62 BC of complicity in the second Catilinarian conspiracy; Publius Sulla, defended by Cicero, was acquitted.
