1817 N-6 R1 MS62. Lustrous bluish steel and chocolate with lighter brown tones in protected areas on the obverse. The surfaces are satiny and this cent offers excellent eye appeal. The only mark is a small splash of slightly darker toning under the E in STATES. MDS. Most of the dentils remain visible on both sides but the outer star tips are starting to flow toward the rims. Called MS60+ by Noyes, his photo #56014. Now housed in a PCGS MS64+ BN holder. (PCGS # 36565).
