Lot 2174

1926 Sesquicentennial $2.50. PCGS graded MS-65. Nicely toned. Likely an early strike from new dies, just estimating from the crisp details. The surfaces are vivid gold in hue and drenched in luster. Here, too, we are struck by the nice, convincing design detail for all areas of this important Quarter Eagle Commemorative with not even the slightest amount of flatness on the features or Independence Hall building (PCGS # 7466) .
Estimated Value $1,700 - 1,800.

Realized $2,013
