1783 Washington Draped Bust Cent without Button Restrike in Copper Breen-1193 PCGS graded Proof-64+ Brown, CAC Approved. Very attractive mix of light golden brown and silvery steel brown. A choice piece, very close to gem. The only marks are a small, faint swipe of slightly darker chocolate brown toning low on the neck and a small spot of dark toning in the field at the end of the hair ribbon. Very sharply struck. The fields are closer to frosty than reflective. These restrikes were produced by W. J. Taylor in London circa 1860, and they come with a center-grained edge that can be viewed in the special PCGS holder. PCGS population 1 with 46 finer.
Estimated Value $800-UP.

Realized $805
