Lot 105

1786 Vermont Landscape Ryder-6 Rarity-2 "VERMONTENSIUM" variety VF20. Ten points sharper but there is some very fine roughness on the reverse, mostly at DECIMA into the sunrays below, plus a couple tiny pits between the 1 & 7 in the date. Otherwise this planchet is quite nice for a Vermont Landscape. Frosty steel brown and chocolate with hints of reddish chocolate toning in some of the protected areas. Struck slightly off center to K-10 leaving parts of the legend off the planchet (which is typical for the issue) and there is a tiny curved planchet clip at ON in VERMONTENSIUM. The date is bold and the legends that made it onto the planchet are strong. EDS, before the die crack at the date. Weight 128.0 grains.
Estimated Value $600-UP.

Realized $1,380
