Jack Benny & Three Other 1920s Caricatures From the Palace Theater in New York. Four drawings by artist/photographer Herbert Mitchell, of performers, primarily vaudeville acts, who appeared at the famous Palace Theatre in New York. From 1913 through the 1920s, the Palace was the most desired booking in the country. The caricatures are 11 x 14 in., all drawn by Mitchell and signed "Mitchell -- Strand,"; they are framed to 14¼ x 17¼ in.
Included are: Jack Benny, dated 1923 (very young, long before he was 39!); Elsie Janis; Crafts & Haley; and Joe Smith & Chas. Haley of The Avon Comedy Four.
