Miscellaneous, 1973//1985, Deke Slayton's "Daily Planner's for 1983 and 1985". These planners were both used post-retirement and are filled with various ink/pencil notations including "Ed McMann", "John Glenn's Birthday" and notes re meetings, speeches, etc. The 1983 planner was issued by "Space Vector" Corp" (4x6x5", bound) and the 1985 is has a tan cover that has a printed "Created Especially for DEKE SLAYTON from Wally Schirra Advertising Unlimited, Inc" (8.5x11", spiral). A great pair. ALSO included is a Stenographers book (6x9", spiral) that appears to be filled by Deke with notes from a series of lectures he attended in 1973 (?). We note extensive notes re the balance of power in the Middle East, the US Balance of Power, The Delivery of Health Services, Divergent Approaches to Discovering China", etc. An interesting lot.
