[CSA] Jefferson Davis and Five Generals. Seven Cards Signed, approximately 2 x 3½ in.: CSA president Jefferson Davis (2 different cards); G. T. Beauregard, with date (1890); J.A. Early; E. Kirby Smith, with place (Sewanee); Roger A. Pryor, with sentiment (Very Respectfully); and R Toombs, with place (Washington Ga.) Toombs autograph is on a 2 x 4 in. piece of paper mounted to a 3 x 4½ in. card. Overall fine; mounting remnants on verso of six items.

Accompanied by an 1853 Letter Signed by J.W. Crisfield addressed to Jefferson Davis as Secretary of War, recommending Dr. John King for admission to the medical department of the Army. Also, a Civil War date (Sept. 9, 1864) ALS to Brig. Gen. Daniel Ruggles from engineer (Major) A.B. de Saulles, written one week after the fall of Atlanta: "…The enemy as you have no doubt seen have left our front & returned to Atlanta - but I suppose there will be but little rest for us your Engineers…."
