Confederate Texas Broadside - Special Orders No. 27. Confederate field-printed broadside, 8 x 4¾ in. Headed "Head Quarters, Dist. of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, Houston, Texsas, Jan. 27th, 1864. Orders of Maj. Gen. J. Bankhead Magruder declaring that all members of the state armed forces and liable for conscription are offered the option to volunteer for the following companies: Waul's Legion, Second Texes [sic], and Green's Division. Some chipping at top edge; pencilled notes in top, blank area.
