1917. Type 1. PCGS graded MS-64 Full Head. Nice golden toning. This is the handsomely design, always-popular Type 1 design by Hermon (with an "o") MacNeil, whose only U.S. coin design this is. He participated in the Mint's coin design contest for the new coinage introduced in 1916 for the dime, quarter dollar, and half dollar (PCGS # 5707) .
