1776 Machin's Mills Halfpenny Vlack 6-76A Rarity-4 F12. Sharpness VF30 but covered with fine to moderate roughness. No marks or verdigris, and the attractive glossy chocolate brown toning minimizes the effect of the roughness. Sharply struck EDS and well centered on a planchet weighing 117.5 grains. A sharply detailed example of this indisputably American-made early colonial copper.
