1817 N-15 R4 AU50. Glossy chocolate brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints and frosty lighter steel brown toning covering the protected areas. There are a few small nicks on the obverse, including a collection of ticks between the hairbun and star 10, while the reverse is choice. E-MDS. The obverse fields are smooth and the die crack connecting stars 1-3 is faint. Stars 4-6 are softly struck and the leaves along the bottom of the wreath are not fully formed, but the dentils are sharp around both sides. Noyes photo #39384.
