1817 N-3 R2 VF30. Sharper by at least 5 points but lightly cleaned and retoned glossy chocolate and steel brown with a subtle wisp of darker olive brown toning in the field before the face. Smooth and free of any notable marks. E-MDS. The "pincher 8" feature (the bottom of the 8 is open) is clear and the fields are covered with fine radial die flowlines. Dull but clearly visible die clashmarks show along the back of the portrait. The "Mouse" break on the top of the head below star 8 has not started to form.
