Lot 357

1816 N-7 R3 VF30. Glossy chocolate brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Smooth and very attractive. The best identifying marks are a tiny pinprick in the field before the forehead, a tiny rim nick above star 6, and a barely visible scrape on the edge outside D-S (which is visible only from the edge of the coin). MDS. Most of the dentils are still visible and there are die clashmarks around the center dot on the reverse. Two dull but clearly visible die lines have been added in the field right of the main and inner curls. An interesting intermediate die state.
Estimated Value $150-UP.
Ex Gordon Wrubel 5/1982.

Realized $322
