Lot 354

1816 N-5 R3 AU50. Lustrous mix of olive, chocolate, and light steel brown with peeps of faded mint color in a couple of the protected areas on the reverse. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas. The only mark is a small, shallow planchet flake (as struck) in the field left of star 9. Just a light touch of friction on the highest points from mint state. LDS. Both dies are worn and only about half of the dentils remain visible. The outer points of all the stars are drawn to the rim but the repunching under the left foot of the N in CENT remains visible.
Estimated Value $350-UP.
