1816 N-2 R1 MS63. Lustrous steel brown and olive with 10% of the original mint red remaining, mostly on the obverse. The surfaces are covered with satiny mint frost and this piece offers excellent eye appeal. The only notable marks are a couple small spots of slightly darker toning at the 8 in the date. E-MDS with the usual rim cud from star 8 to star 11 but without the additional small rim cud at star 12. Most likely from the famous Randall Hoard of mint state cents.
