Kingdom of Macedon. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.07 g) minted posthumously at Tyre, c. 305-290 BC. Head right of Herakles, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter; in lower left field and under throne, monograms. Cf. Price 3531; Newell (Tyrus Rediviva) 4. Insignificant obverse flaw. Superb Extremely Fine.
