Lot 2442

1832. . Browning-2. NGC graded MS-64+ CAC Approved. Well struck with lovely lilac, golden and royal blue iridescent toning. A lovely Premium Quality example with only a few light marks below the beak to preclude a higher numerical grade. Both sides exhibit natural toning with an above-average, well-centered strike and underlying frosted luster. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 65, 1 in 66.

Two varieties of 1832 quarters are known, with easy attribution. The Browning-1 die marriage has long arrowheads that nearly touch the border. Browning-2 has shorter arrowheads that are far from the border, on about the same line as the top of AMERICA.
Estimated Value $6,000 - 6,500.

Realized $7,590
