Lot 2340

1874. PCGS graded MS-65 Red. A splendid Mint Red gem example. Bright and flashy red with touches of warm gold and carmine highlights in places. A lovely gem, equal to the task of the assigned grade, and bettered by few others. Here, too, we are struck by the bold, convincing design detail for all areas of this important Indian cent with not even the slightest amount of flatness on the headdress feathers. LIBERTY on the headband is razor-sharp as well. Pop 30; 5 finer in 66 RD (PCGS # 2120) .
Estimated Value $1,900 - 2,000.

Realized $2,300
