1793 S-4 R3 Chain AMERICA with Periods AG3. Rather glossy chocolate and steel. There are myriad fine, light scratches covering both sides. The fields show extremely faint roughness while the devices are smooth. No verdigris. A dull nick under the L in LIBERTY and a small pit on the bottom of the N in ONE are good identifying marks. Only the upper half of the date remains visible, and it is faint. LIBERTY is complete and the reverse legends are mostly visible, especially the chain and legend inside.
