1854. PCGS graded AU-53. Subtle hint of light tone on this lustrous first-year Type. Philadelphia in 1854 produced the best struck Indian Head Type 2s. However, due to design limitations, certain areas tend to be weak even on the better made pieces (PCGS # 7531) .
