Lot 517

1811 C-2 R3. NGC graded Fine-12. Glossy dark olive brown and chocolate. No roughness and the only marks are blended nicely into the natural toning. The notable defects are a collection of hairline scratches inside the wreath with a few extending outside the wreath to AM in AMERICA, plus a nick on the U in UNITED. Traces of lighter-colored crud are nestled into a few of the more-protected areas on the reverse. EDS, Manley state 1.0, prior to any die clashmarks on the obverse. Overall a decent lower grade example of this tough date. Our grade is net VG10.
Estimated Value $400-UP.

Realized $1,265
