Andronicus II and Michael IX, 1295-1320. AE assarion (1.58 g). Inscription within double border around facing bust of Christ. Reverse: Andronicus II and Michael IX stg. facing, holding labarum between them. DOC 633-7 var. (emperors hold patriarchal cross between them). Sear-Bendall 2428 var. Nearly Very Fine and very rare with dark patina, apparently a hybrid type with reverse as DOC 647.
