Lot 2033

1878. PCGS graded MS-64. Frosty, brilliant and untoned. Rare in such high grade. Wheras $10 and $20 gold pieces dated 1878 are readily available in Mint condition, this isn't the case with the $5 for some reason. A splendid, boldly struck example. Pop 9; 6 finer with 1 in 64+, 3 in 65, 2 in 66 (PCGS # 8345) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,500.
