Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 65

Lot 1923

1903. NGC graded Proof 64. A fully glittering untoned Proof and quite choice for the grade. Only 197 struck. Brilliant and reflective surfaces. The obverse and reverse offer an all-brilliant finish seen on these, both sides intensely pleasing in that respect. Not a great rarity but one any collector would enjoy viewing and studying. While a fair number of Proofs of the date were struck it is doubtful if more than a few dozen of those are as Choice today. It is not at all likely that all pieces found buyers; probably they didn’t. Some may have been melted at the time. Pop 26; 29 finer (PCGS # 7929) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.

Realized $6,613
