1869, $20 United States Note. PMG Choice About Unc 58. Fr-127. . KL-526. This lovely Rainbow $20 possesses beautiful colors, outstanding eye appeal, and all the "look" of a higher grade. In fact, after close inspection this cataloger cannot locate the reason why the experts at PMG chose this grade; undoubtedly a hidden fold appeared to them in a vision. For what it's worth, it's listed as "CU" in the Gengerke census and certainly has every bit the aesthetic merit of notes graded higher numerically. No matter the techincal grade, this note is worth every bit of our perhaps conservative estimate, and is likely to see spirited bidding before the hammer falls.
