Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 63

Lot 833

1894. PCGS graded Proof 66 CAC Approved. Well struck with wonderful rainbow iridescent toning on both sides. Only 972 struck. Besides this, we can happily report that there is a worldly measure of pouring mirror deep luster livening up the wide expanse of surface around the devices. The devices themselves are nicely frosted from the dies (though no mention is made about this on the grading holder). The fields are for all intents and purposes immaculate, while the strike is intrepid enough to call for special mention. Pop 23; 9 finer by a point (PCGS # 6541) .
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000.

Realized $10,350
