1806. Pointed 6, stem not through claw. . Overton-109. PCGS graded EF-45. Attractive mullti-color toning on both sides. Instructional Red Book variety. By that, we mean, for students of the minting process, this reverse die shows that the Mint inserted the end of the stem onto the die in a separate operation -- or in this instance, failed to or forgot to include the stem when the die was sent to the coiner to use in his press. A worthwhile coin to inclulde in a set of 19th Century Type Coins since it meets all the requirements for the EF45 grade plus offers additional features like the toning. Pop 35; 70 finer (PCGS # 6073) .
Estimated Value $2,400 - 2,500.

Realized $2,875
