Lot 740

1920-S. PCGS graded MS-65 Full Bands. A brilliant lusterous gem with just a hint of delicate pastel toning. While widely available in lower grades, high grade examples of the 1920-S are very elusive; in fact, they are one of the more coveted S-mint dates in the series in Gem Full Bands condition. The surfaces on this piece show the vibrancy of original frosted mint luster San Francisco issues are famous for. Additionally, each side has a delicate overlay of toning. Boldly defined throughout with no offending marks. Pop 25; 10 finer with 7 in 66, 3 in 67 (PCGS # 4933) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,500.
