1855 C-1 R1. NGC graded MS-65 Red & Brown. Frosty mellowed mint red fading to chocolate and steel brown, about 20% of the faded mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. Excellent eye appeal. The only marks are a small struck-through line off the upper left point of star 12 (caused by a piece of debris on the die), a tiny nick on the right foot of the A in HALF, and a speck of carbon nestled between the leaves under NI in UNITED. MDS. Our grade is MS63. The attribution is noted on the NGC label.
