Lot 45

1855 C-1 R1. NGC graded MS-66 Red & Brown. Lustrous mint red fading to bluish steel, nearly a third of the mellowed mint color remaining. The only marks are a tiny abrasion in the field close over the tip of the coronet and a thin nick on the rim under star 13. Excellent eye appeal, hence the lofty grade assigned by NGC. MDS with microscopic radial die flowlines covering the fields. Our grade is MS64. The attribution is noted on the NGC label.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.
