Macedon, Mende, c. 500-470 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.10 g). Ithyphallic ass walking right; on rump, crow standing right. Reverse: Four-part mill-sail incuse. Noe (ANS NNM 27) 7 (this coin pictured); Dewing 1029. Rare. Reverse patch of horn silver; small depression on obverse at 11 o'clock. Strong obverse for this classic issue; Choice Very Fine.
