Lot 1130

1926 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. Intensely lustrous with a hint of light tone. Virtually as made and refreshingly clean for this issue which tends to fall below the Gem level due to strike weakness on many. In addition to shimmering luster in the fields and chalk-white devices, the fields are immaculate and satiny with much luster. Deficiency isn't in the cards when it comes to this coin's detail, either. In fact, deserving its MS66 grade from every standard used, "outstanding" is the word to describe the striking detail on the major devices. Finally, heed the extremely low NGC census: Pop 12; 7 finer, 6 in 66*, 1 in 66+* (PCGS # 9374) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 11,000.
