1937-D Oregon Trail Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. Boldly struck with a hint of natural tone. Reverse with Conestoga Wagon. The Conestoga wagon was believed to have been named for the valley in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where it was developed by Pennsylvania-German settlers. It was one of the chief freight haulers in the East from about the 1750s until the arrival of the railroads (PCGS # 9347) .
