Early Commerce of San Francisco. Collection of Bill Heads from San Francisco in the 1800's. Picturesque collection of seventeen decorative Bill Heads from the mid- to late-1800's that provide a vivid account of commerce in San Francisco in the 19th Century. Also included are two unusual bill heads from the United States Government, one for "Extra Services rendered as Blacksmith showing public Animals" for the U.S. Army, and another from the U.S. Mint, being a "Memorandum of Gold Bullion deposited at the Mint," which records the deposit of $395 in gold coin.
