Lot 89

1818 N-5 R3 VF30. VF-30. Slightly sharper with a few light nicks on each side and a fine planchet lamination at the dentils left of star 2, as struck. Nice glossy chocolate brown with frosty light steel brown covering the protected areas. E-MDS. The die crack at stars 1-3 now extends from the right point of star 1 and reaches into the field pointing toward the dentils between that star and the date (but ending in the field well short of the dentils). The fields are starting to show fine radial die flowlines but the dentils are still well defined around both sides. DWH #0454.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
