Septimius Severus, AD 193-211. AR Denarius minted at Rome, AD 202-210. Laureate head right of Septimius Severus. Reverse: Busts of Septimius Severus and Caracalla, both laureate, cuirassed and draped, facing one another. RIC 250 [as R3]; C. 1. Minor flan cracks; NGC graded AU: Strike 5/5; Surface 3/5, fine style.

All the dynastic issues of Severus in silver are usually found in Fine to VF condition; this is a happy exception.
