Antoninus Pius, AD 138-161. AR Denarius minted at Rome, AD 160-161. Laureate head right of Antoninus Pius. Reverse: Liberalitas standing left, holding account-board and cornucopiae. RIC 308 [as Scarce]; C. 150. NGC graded MS: Strike 5/5; Surface 5/5.

The reverse allegorical personification on this coin portrays Liberality, who is shown holding the account-board or tablet (tessera) and cornucopiae, horn of plenty. This is one of the final issues of denarii struck under this emperor.
